About Me

Just be you...

I am the first in my family to go to college. I graduated with my BS in Television, Film and New Media and BA in American Indian Studies. I have earned my Master's Degree in Post secondary Educational Leadership. I am completing my Ph.D. in Education from San Diego State and Claremont Graduate University

I am Native American and Mexican. My indigenous identity is very important to me and I am active in the Native community in San Diego. I have had a lot of leadership opportunities including being the current President of the American Indian Alumni Chapter and past President of Delta Upsilon Fraternity.

I love my family, I love my job working with indigenous students at SDSU and I love you for supporting me by visiting my site. I am learning more about myself every day and my blog will be where you can follow that journey.

Visit my blog to learn more about some of my personal life.

Living where people vacation ain't easy

I have lived in sunny San Diego all my life. I mean look at the view from La Jolla beach! The ocean has always calmed and soothed my soul. I connect so much to the waves crashing so rhythmically like the heart beat of the world.

San Diego is home to me and I have trouble finding a place that I can visualize myself more than here. When given the chance, I will travel some more and find some other beautiful vacation destinations.

My Passions

Nothing is more important than passion

One of the problems that I have is that I have so many things that I am passionate about. But that is a good thing right? All the pictures on my site are those that I have taken and they were taken for specific reasons or to capture specific moments.

So, my site is a highlight of the things that I am passionate about and I live to create! Beauty, art, advancement of thought, and a little bit about my life. I wanted to include my experiences through a blog because I feel that the best way we can learn is from each other. We are all unique and together we can make this world a better place.
